York 75th Anniversary Cornet 1956-59 - Refurbished - Case and York Al-Tru Mouthpiece Bore: .472 Serial# 63***
Limited production Anniversary model in very good original condition, beautiful rich sound from these Bohm Meinl built York horns. Bell tail had a good dent at the top of the curve, no major trauma on this horn, 85% lacquer with general signs of use. Valves feel excellent with brass valve guides, slides are smooth, 3rd slide is a little firm but smooth and all caps thread nicely. Original case is solid, right latch spring is broken and original handle has been replaced with this totally custom hand made handle 8-)... A couple original inserts come with this horn as well as key, lyre and a nice York Al-Tru mouthpiece.

Horn is dis-assembled and inspected, soaked in an organic de-greasing solution and scrubbed
Body, valves and components are treated in an organic chem clean with Tesch products (Tesch was recommended to all participants

Hand-lapped valves and chambers (This process can take up to an hour)
Complete detail of all components, hot water scrubbed and prepped for assembly
Valves aligned, pads and springs replaced as needed
Play tested and final inspected before listing for sale
***Clean your instrument regularly (especially lead-pipe and tuning slide) and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years. Vintage cases are all disinfected, cleaned and sanitized but there may be a residual horn smell in any old case.

We do not accept returns or offer trial periods to try horns listed here on Ebay, please come to Colorado to try instruments, we'll have fun talking about horns! Facilitate a quick return process with cordial communication, returns started without communication will take much longer to process. If your instrument is damaged during shipping, you must take a picture of the box with external damage, the packaging and the damage to the case and or instrument.
