Original Wax Trax! Records Wire Logo. This initial design appeared as store ads, bags and clothing during the early 1980s. A must for all WT old-schoolers!
Collectible run in blue ink on a light blue shirt. This is the very limited remaining stock from the 2017 IA screening at the Vic Theatre in Chicago. No plans to make these again in this color way, get them while you can!

For those wondering about the independent store & label, Wax Trax! first opened its Chicago location in 1978. The store focused primarily on experimental, unusual or hard to find collectables and quickly became the center of underground punk, new wave and experimental music & culture throughout the Mid-West.
Using the momentum of the the store's success, Wax Trax! branched out into a record label in 1980.
Early electronic artists such as Front 242, Ministry, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Front Line Assembly, COIL, Laibach, KMFDM and so many other electronic pioneers had their US start on the Wax Trax! roster.
