VTG. GENERAL QUICK AID 1.5 QT. BRASS FIRE EXTINGUISHER

Description

Up for sale is a vintage brass General "Quick Aid' Fire Guard 1.5 quart hand pump fire extinguisher.
It is empty.
This is a nice historical item that would look great in a den or family room...or even in the office of your favorite firefighter.
My wife thinks I should keep it in our kitchen in case I decide to try and cook again. I promised the Fire Dept. I wouldn't.
There's no doubt this item has been well used. I have no idea if it works. I'm selling it for

purposes only

The label is in good readable condition and says this was approved by Underwriter's Labs as a 1/2 B:C fire extinguisher. The upper left corner is pulling away from the extinguisher a bit.
There is also a slight surface crack near the lower right hand portion of the label.
It is sold "as is" so ask any questions you might have before bidding. That being said, I'm happy to respond the best I can.
It's been used and will have the sort of surface imperfections one would expect to find on a piece of vintage fire fighting equipment.
I'll also include a more modern metal wall mount for this item.
