This replacement vintage cast brass
Fyr-Fyter fire extinguisher handle
is an exceedingly rare piece
. This item is original, it is not a reproduction. These extinguishers were top of the line, full brass, made in Dayton, OH. This handle will fit the 1 gallon "Central Station" hand pumped plunger style extinguisher, and possibly others by Fyr-Fyter, although it is unclear if the provided bolt is the correct thread pattern for your specific application. It looks to be about 3/16" dia, with about 5/8 thread depth that was installed. Any bolt and washer combo can be used however. There is a brass retainer nut in the bottom of this handle that will accept lesser or greater sized bolts. We are unsure if 1/2" dia will fit in the retainer nut, but anything less will fit for sure.
This vintage Fyr-Fyter pump handle is in fantastic condition. The brass is clean and there is almost no patina or grime. The "FF" embossed logo is vivid, and there is no wrench rash on the retainer nut. Even the existing 3/16" bolt is in almost perfect shape.
This handle could also be used for a lot of other purposes. From homebrew survival to steampunk art, this handle fits the purpose and the image. On top of this, its built like a tank being solid cast brass, and resistant to rust/corrosion. Perfect for a multitude of circumstances....even if not used on the vintage Fyr-Fyter Central Station or other Fyr-Fyter fire extinguishers.
