Great playing horn with the darker tone. Perfect for jazz !
Horn is in good to very good shape with few wear spots. I looked all over and could not find a serial number on it just HOLLAND on the receiver and Martin Busine on the bell flare. There is some wear in contact points, few minor dings, few pitting dots below leadpipe in / near contact point . SEE ALL PHOTOS . I don’t see repairs . Features two standard very well made water keys and rounded tuning slide for smooth air flow. This horn plays smooth and has darker tone possibly due to larger bore. It’s possible that it’s a tribute horn to Martin Committee model by Schenkelaar maker in Holland. Bell flare the way it opens up reminds me a bit of a Committee . Horn is great for jazz. Valve pistons show some wear / also like the old oil went into plating. The movement is not affected and compression is very good. This horn has a very jazzy look and plays well . The 3rd slide ring is not there but screw is there so you can find a ring for it but it’s not necessary. All slides are free. The 3rd slide button had missing pearl so I found a soft material and glued there . It functions fine and is comfortable for the finger.
I got this horn few years back as I used to compare horns to each other and test horns all the time now limiting my trumpet collection !
This horn is in overall very good condition ready to play with jazzy looks.
