Horanewa is made with a wooden body and the back and front end are decorated with the brass.
The side which the person is blowing is small, while the opposite end is large.
The base is riddled with small holes in order to allow the musician to vary the pitch using the fingers.
This traditional musical instrument is widely used in many cultural event in Sri Lanka including Kandy Perahera (Festival held in July in each year).
