    Description

This auction offers a set of nine Craftsman socket holders. These basket-style holders were popular in the late 80s and early 90s. Here's a rare opportunity to own very clean set for your vintage Craftsman collection, or even your every-day working kit!
These aren't marked with Craftsman part numbers. They came in a giant eight-hundred-some piece "mechanic's set" that I purchased back in the day. Some are stamped with a number, as I note below, but I can't relate these to any Sears part number.
One is red; the others are all dark gray -- both colors are familiar to Craftsman fans. The red tray has a bit of a manufacturing defect: it looks like the handle was up when the powder coat was applied, so there's a small shadow in the powder coat on the sides, above the handle hinge.
Otherwise, they're in exclelent condition. All hinges are tight and there are no signs of rust. Some scratches and buffing here and there, but nothing substantial. No wear-through at all; you'll think they're almost new!
The red tray is 11-3/4ers inches long with a maximum inside height of 2-1/8th inches.  It tapers from an inside width of 1-5/8ths to 1-1/8th inches.
The remaining gray trays are sized as follows:
The smallest is stamped "00110" on the bottom. It is 4-3/4ers long with an inside height of 1-1/8th. It tapers slightly from 1-1/4er to 1-1/8th width.
The next is stamped "00020" on the bottom. It has an inside height of 2 inches, and is 4-3/4ers long.  It also tapers from 1-1/4er to 1/18th wide.
Another gray tray is stamped "00100". It has an inside height of 2-3/4ers and a length of 7 inches. This one tapers from 1-1/4er to 3/4ers wide.
The fourth smallest is stamped "00150". The inside height is just less than 2 inches with length of 8-3/4ers inches. The inside width tapers from 1-1/8th to 7/8ths inches.
This tray didn't make the family photo! It's stamped "00060", and has a maximum inside depth of 1-3/8ths and is 7 inches long. 1-1/4er at its widest, down to 3/4er inches.
Another tray is stamped "00080". The inside depth is 2-3/4ers and the tray is 8 inches long. The taper starts at 1-3/8ths and goes to 3/4ers.
The longest tray is stamped "00010". The maximum inside depth on this one is 2-1/8th and is 15-1/4 inches long. This tray tapers from 1-3/4ers to 1 inch.
Finally, the largest tray has a stamp of "00130". The maximum inside depth is 3-1/2 inches with a lenth of 12-12/ inches. The widest inside dimension is 1-5/8ths and the narrowest is 1 inch.
    No tools are included.
The sockets pictured are just for example, and not included in the auction.
Shipping is . Sorry it's so high, but these awesome trays deserve a nice big box and plenty of padding. I only ship to the United States.
