Description

Up for auction is a gently used professional S. E. Shires Destino III "Severinsen" model silver Bb trumpet.  All valves/slides move freely and the valve compression is very good. There are no dents present and the lightly tarnished silver plating has minimal wear, with approximately 98% of the plating intact. This trumpet has minor scratches throughout from normal use and plays as good as it looks! Included is a gently used Protec/Shires zippered single trumpet case. No mouthpiece is included.
The premier S.E. Shires B-flat trumpet, the Destino III was developed through a close collaboration between Doc Severinsen and the craftsmen of S. E. Shires over several years. The Destino III includes several specific design elements not found on other standard S.E. Shires trumpet. As you might expect, it works outstandingly for jazz and for commercial/popular music. It has also become popular among discriminating classical trumpet players who find it useful for everything from solo literature to large orchestral works.
