    Description

Rare vintage GRIFFIN brass 1 qt. fire extinguisher manufactured by The Griffin Lamp Company, Hamilton, Ohio. Not sure of the exact vintage but I believe it to be the mid to late 1940's. The Griffin Lamp Co., formerly the Premier Signal Co. was incorporated in 1946 and was a manufacturer of automotive safety equipment, predominantly truck and car lighting and lamps.
    It
has been machine buffed, hand polished, and clear coated. The extinguisher is
    EMPTY
, the handle does move in and out, and it is being sold as a collectible item only. It is in very good condition with one quarter size dent on the bottom, back base and a small dent on the top, back rim, but
    they
    don't
show when seen from the front, so it will display well.  There is also some minor paint loss to the label. See pictures for all defects. Measures approx.
    14" tall  x  3" in diameter
