    Description

    This is a very scarce early hand blown Sinclair Fire Grenade bottle from the 1880s with its rare original labels!.....No embossing in the glass, but it has diamond quilted design around middle.....Original label reads SINCLAIR & COs HAND GRENADE 19 ELDON ST. LONDON....also has a neck label which I cant make out....Hand blown in mold....smooth base...hand tooled ring lip....round with diamond quilted pattern inside 2 large rings....deep cobalt blue...7"tall..... Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage of any kind. Both labels have some damage. Bottle is completely empty with no liquid. This "Fire Grenade" acted like a grenade....it was to be thrown at the base of a fire. When the glass bottle broke it was supposed to put the fire out.
    ..A hole has been drilled through the cork seal to drain the contents, so the bottle is completely empty.....
