RARE Vintage Antique "FLOAFOME" Copper Brass Fire Extinguisher-Polished. It is an Antique Vintage "FLOAFOME" COPPER & BRASS FIRE EXTINGUISHER" made by the famous "GENERAL FIRE TRUCK CORPORATION" which was the signature line of fire extinguisher for this famous company, out of LOS ANGELES, DETROIT and NEW YORK U.S.A.. THIS ANTIQUE IS EMPTY & DOES NOT HAVE ANY ACTIVE INGREDIENTS. IT IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE. LOOK at the pictures. This fire extinguisher was made between 1926 and 1936. The model number is 833 and and it is etched with the “Sure Sweat Seal - Patent Pending”. The Underwriter's Laboratories Serial Number is a low “6-digit" serial number that reads "808031,". General Fire Truck Corp operated under this name between 1926 and 1936 before changing their name to General Pacific Corporation, this this piece was produced during that 10-year time period.
This will make for a unique and perfect gift for any collector or fire fighter. This beauty is very old as it is a copper & brass extinguisher with copper rivets along the back. This piece of fire fighting history and was used to actually fight fires. With that being said, it is not mint as it has has some marks and dents as shown. This will be a great centerpiece or conversation piece. Also a great man cave or steampunk item. This antique has all the original copper rivets along the back.
