RARE 1744 C FRENCH COLONIES SOU M CAEN MINT PCGS MS62 VLACK-61 R-7 ONLY 1 GRADED

Description

This is a rare 1744 - C Sou Marque PCGS MS62. It is from the Caen Mint and very few pieces were ever minted there. It is the hardest mint to find and this is a MS62 piece that has nice silvering and a mint made die cud on the reverse edge. I believe the attribution is VLACK-61 and it is a Rarity 7. It is offered at NO RESERVE from a older collection and is the only one graded at PCGS.

An extremely rare issue struck at Caen, and conditionally rare as well! Attractive silvering occupies much of the fields, which also exhibit cream-gray toning and slightly darker accents on the high points of the design.
