Olds Super Los Angeles.
Selling an Olds Super. Overall condition is well preserved for this 1956 cornet. All of the valves and slides move freely. Trombone water keys.
Cosmetically, the lacquer has darkened over time (which actually gives it rich character, no joke) and there is lacquer wear as seen in the pics. The dark lacquer contrasts beautifully with the silver tone ring. There is evidence of dent/repair underneath the bend from the lead pipe (see pics). It’s not noticeable.
Valves are fast and responsive. Slides are smooth. Plays very nice. I’d keep it, but am brand new at playing and don’t need it,
Note that the horn is sold as-is. I’m doing my best to tell the story with pics and words, but I’m not a trumpet expert. I used high resolution, so zooming in should give as close a representation as holding it in your hands would. Feel free to message with questions.
