Linus Carl Pauling [1901 1994] was an American chemist, biochemist, peace activist, author and educator. He is one of the most important influential chemists in history and ranks among the most important scientists of the 20 century. Pauling was one of the founders of the fields of quantum chemistry and molecular biology. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in Chemistry in 1954, and again received the award in 1962, for his peace activism. He is also the only person to be awarded two unshared Nobel Prizes and one of only four individuals to have won more then one Nobel Prize. Listed for auction is the autograph of Linus Carl Pauling signed on a commemorative cover. The autograph is signed ''Linus Pauling'' in blue fountain pen and the cover measures 6.50 x 3.50 inches and is in very good condition. The autograph is authentic, hand signed and the cover is a nice example of this prominent Nobel Prize recipient.
