Legends Brass Signature Series Tony Scodwell Trumpet Mouthpiece: designed, endorsed and played by the legendary Tony Scodwell!
Mr. Scodwell has had an extensive and impressive career playing with such greats as the Stan Kenton Orchestra, Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Jimmy Dorsey Band, Harry James, Frank Sinatra.....and the list goes on and on. Justice can't be done to his talent in this short space! Legends Brass is privileged to offer this mouthpiece to our customers.
The Legends Scodwell has a semi-round rim that is very soft. There is some undercut for chop room and bite. The cup is medium depth; slightly more shallow than a Bach "C" cup. The entrance to the throat is rounded, which allows plenty of air flow for a nice big sound. Slotting is excellent with the Legends Scodwell.
The rim and cup of this model are reminiscent of a Bach 5C, but this is not a copy!
The Legends Scodwell has the Legends enhanced throat (#27), throat cylinder length, and Legends O backbore.
These design elements maximize endurance, range and sound for the player.
This is a versatile piece suitable for playing any style of music.

This mouthpiece is kept in stock in three blanks: lightweight, standard weight, and heavyweight. The lightweight blank adds extra sizzle for more of a lead, or 'Las Vegas' sound. The heavyweight blank is extremely efficient; the added mass creates enriched slotting and core of sound. Standard weight is a nice balance of both.
