Legends Brass is excited to present the Signature Series Ceballos trumpet mouthpiece: endorsed and played by the legendary Sammy Ceballos!
Professional trumpet player, freelance musician, musical director, soloist, teacher, clinician, for 35 years Sammy Ceballos has dominated the Puerto Rican latin jazz and salsa scene. This mouthpiece was designed for players who like a huge sound and a wide open blow. The rim is round and comfortable. The cup is medium shallow (similar to a Bach D). The throat is a big open #25, and the entrance to the throat is shaped with a nice shoulder to accept maximum air flow. These elements are combined with the very open Legends Chicago backbore, giving the player a big wide sound with plenty of core in any register. Use this mouthpiece when you want to bring the fire!

This mouthpiece is kept in stock in three blanks: lightweight, standard weight, and heavyweight. The lightweight blank adds extra sizzle for more of a lead, or 'Las Vegas' sound. The heavyweight blank is extremely efficient; the added mass creates enriched slotting and core of sound. Standard weight is a nice balance of both.
