Description
This mouthpiece was designed with input from trumpet and flugel artist Marty Bound (New York, NY). It was designed to meet the specific needs of pro players performing all-night gigs in jazz venues and on the Broadway stage. The rim is soft and round for comfort throughout extended playing. The inside diameter is .625", and the cup depth is similar to a Bach D (medium shallow). The throat on the Broadway is a #28, and is combined with the slightly tight Legends Vegas backbore. These design elements create just enough resistance to support extended upper register playing without robbing the player of endurance. Customers that have used this mouthpiece have loved its full sound and amazing response.

This mouthpiece is kept in stock in three blanks: lightweight, standard weight, and heavyweight. The lightweight blank adds extra sizzle for more of a lead, or 'Las Vegas' sound. The heavyweight blank is extremely efficient; the added mass creates enriched slotting and core of sound. Standard weight is a nice balance of both.
