    Description

    Lee De Forest [1873 1961] was an American inventor who is referred to as the ''Father of Radio'' who was a pioneer in the development of sound-on-film recording used for motion pictures. De Forest was awarded over 180 patents during his life time in the fields of telegraphy, telephony, television and radar. Listed for auction is a check signed by Lee De Forest. The check is drawn upon the Lake Shore National Bank and is dated Oct 4, 1948. The check is completed in his hand and is signed ''Lee de Forest'' in black fountain pen. The check measures 6.25 x 3.00 inches and is in fine conditionwith expected bank stamp. The autograph is authentic, hand signed and the check is a nice example of this prominent inventor.
