Huttl Deluxe Line 1700 Trumpet - Stencil: Sterling Foreign - Protec Case & Original Mouthpiece Bore: .458 - Serial# 10***
Sterling is a Selmer line of instruments with the student line being the Lincoln; Dallas/Grafton models. This is very rare Huttl Deluxe Line 1700 stencil trumpet with 3rd slide, bell tone ring Bb/A lockout and insert for HP/LP. Bell says Sterling Foreign with a harp with an S in the middle, there is also a #2 on the receiver. Horn had a small fold just above the bell flair and required some other minor dent work. Overall an excellent condition instrument. Original valve springs are a bit bouncy but functional, horn plays very well, compression is good and all slides are smooth and caps thread easily. 3rd slide lever is very smooth. The tuning slide water key is not original and came from a parts Huttle horn... Included a nice oversized Pro-tec case and an interesting mouthpiece that came with the horn.

Horn is dis-assembled and inspected, soaked in an organic de-greasing solution and scrubbed
Body, valves and components are treated in an organic chem clean with Tesch products (Tesch is recommended by NA
PBIRT
)
Hand-lapped valves and chambers (This process can take up to an hour)
Complete detail of all components, hot water scrubbed and prepped for assembly
Valves aligned, pads and springs replaced as needed
Play tested and final inspected before listing for sale
***Clean your instrument regularly (especially lead-pipe and tuning slide) and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years. Vintage cases are all disinfected, cleaned and sanitized but there may be a residual horn smell in any old case.

If your instrument is damaged during shipping, you must take a picture of the box with external damage, the packaging and the damage to the case and or instrument.
