Henry Price Ball (1867-?) - Electrical engineer and electrical appliance inventor, who began his engineering career under Thomas A. Edison. He held patents for the adapter for incandescent-lamp sockets (1892); Trolley(circuit) breaker(1894, with Charles Lieb); electrical measuring instruments (1900); control switch (1905); (elecric) attaching plug (1915); a burner for vapor stoves, assignor to S. Sternau & Co. (Sterno) (1921).
Henry Price Ball married Anna Daily, daughter of Thomas Daily and Mary Jane (?), in 1890. They had one child, Mabel Ball1 b. Apr 1906.
4.8” x 2.3” vintage slip, signed in fountain pen, adding “Feb 14/(19)37.” Scattered glue show-through otherwise very good.
