F.E Olds and Son Trumpet - Super Olds - 1940's Los Angeles, California USA serial number 18442. Great estate fresh piece in good original condition but in need of cleaning and tune up or a great candidate for a full restoration. The instrument is well used and has quite a bit of finish wear to the varnish & plating as shown. The instrument has 7 dings that I have counted. The largest ding is pointed out in the photos, most of the dings are very light. I have detailed photos of all the dings but could not fit them in the description so please message me for them. All of the threaded and moving parts on the trumpet function as they should with no damage or signs of previous repairs. The bell is straight with no major scratches. The box includes a music holder a tool and 3 Mutes with various levels of wear. The case is pretty much worn beyond repair from heavy use and the latches do not work. When found the paperwork in the case showed that the previous owned played in a WW2 era US Army Band Stationed in Austria.
