Description

Very interesting document owned by Richard Feynman, what appears to be a mock exam likely intended for members of the Rogers Commission, of which he was a member. Feynman was notoriously critical of the Commission established to investigate the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, even going so far as to issue his own Appendix to the final report, critical of the report's conclusions. In this document, he appears to vent his frustration at he political nature of the Commission, though whether he actually distributed this exam is unknown. Entitled "Quality Assurance and Reliability", one of the tongue-in-cheek questions and answers reads, "The first order of business for a new commission is a) determine who is to write the final report b) assigning office space c) ensuring that none of the commissioners begin work". Two page document on two sheets is stapled at top left. Very good condition. From the Richard Feynman estate.
