Darwin, Charles (1809-1882) - Rare hand addressed and signed envelope
English naturalist, geologist and biologist, best known for his contributions to the science of evolution.
Rare hand addressed and signed envelope panel “C. Darwin”. 5.0 x 2.75 inch, London May 1 (18)76 (postmark). Addressed by Darwin to the Lord Mayor of London "Lord Mayor, Mansion House, EC" and signed in the lower left corner. In very good to fine condition, with light creasing and soiling, and several tiny pin holes.
