    Description

    This is a beautiful horn,
with an equally beautiful sound. The silver plating is mostly in tact, and the gold accents are visible as well. All the springs still compress quite nicely, every slide moves, though the third slide is a bit stiff, and the water keys still hold water without issue. Unfortunately, a century of love and abuse has left it a little worse for wear compared to some other horns that were a little better cared for, and it's certainly not what it was when it was factory new. Notably, it's missing the slide stop for the tuning slide and the mouthpiece is badly beaten. It's absolutely still playable, and even manages to still sound quite lovely, but a bit of restoration work is in order for it. Serial number is 191960, putting it somewhere between 1925 and 1926 for its year of production. It comes with its original Buescher 6CE mouthpiece, as well as its case.
    Included
with it is an equally vintage straight mute. The mute has never been particularly good, even before the corks dried out and fell off. I'd definitely recommend a nice Denis Wick or basically any other mute over it, but it's fine as a practice straight mute or as a loaner or as a practical joke.
