Description
BUY THIS VINTAGE, RARE, BALANCED ACTION BESSON & CO. BREVETE LONDON MODELE FRANCAIS PROTOTYPE TRUMPET + MOUTHPIECE + VINTAGE CASE!Serial number: 132628 (circa EARLY/MID 1940s)
THIS HORN HAS A VERY COOL LOGO THAT STANDS OUT AND IS MADE OUT OF METAL-WE THINK IT MAY BE ONE OF A KIND!
ALL VALVES MOVE WELL - QUICK AND SNAPPY!
ALL SLIDES ARE FREE AND SMOOTH!
LACQUER IS A DEEP AMBER BRASS COLOR-IT IS UNIQUE FOR BESSON BREVETE TRUMPETS MADE DURING THIS TIME FRAME AS MOST WERE SILVER PLATED. THERE ARE TINY SPECKLES ALL AROUND AND ONE VERY SMALL SPOT OF WEAR WHICH WE TOOK A CLOSE-UP PICTURE OF.
UPON SUPER CLOSE INSPECTION, WE FOUND A SMALL CRACK NEAR WHERE IT IS STAMPED MADE IN ENGLAND. (SEE CLOSE UP PICTURE) WE THINK IT WILL NEED SOME SOLDER MATERIAL TO SEAL IT, BUT WE CAN GET STRONG SOUND OUT OF THE HORN RIGHT NOW (EVEN THOUGH WE ARE NOT PLAYERS!)
MADE IN ENGLAND.
INCLUDES A MOUTHPIECE THAT WAS FOUND IN THE CASE...THERE ARE NO MARKINGS ON IT AT ALL.
COMES IN A VINTAGE TRUMPET CASE WHICH WE THINK IS THE ORIGINAL-IT FUNCTIONS PROPERLY AND PROTECTS WELL. IT HAS SOME SMALL LETTERS/NUMBERS PRINTED ON THE EDGE, AS PICTURED.
