Antique Vintage Rare STAR CHEMICAL Metal Fire Extinguisher Tube Can - USA 1899

Description

This auction is for a rare Star Chemical antique metal tube fire extinguisher.  It was manufactured by The Star Chemical Co., Columbus, Ohio.  The top lid is stamped 1889.  The original price was .00, which was probably quite high for that time period.  The extinguisher is in very good condition for being over 100 years old.  The tube has a graphic of a star which represents Star Chemical Co..  It still retains most of its original gold and orange on navy blue paint.  The paint has some scratches which are commensurate with age.
The extinguisher has two very small dents present on the front which are barely noticeable when on display.  The extinguisher measures 22" tall with a diameter of 2”.  It still contains its original dry powder contents which is NON-HAZARDOUS.  Please see photos for details of condition.
