Antique Red Comet Automatic Fire Extinguisher Glass Metal Wall Bracket
You are bidding on an Antique Red Comet Automatic Fire Extinguisher Metal Wall Bracket.
Made in Colorado and found at an estate sale here in Colorado!
The piece is made of a silver metal has to metal loops, one larger than the other.
The loops held a red glass grenade which held a liquid that would start to boil as a fire started burning, eventually would explode to help put out the fire.
The piece is embossed with the following:
RED COMET AUTOMATIC LITTLETON COLORADO.
Measures:
6 1/8” tall, 4 ½” wide & 3 ¾” across the widest area.
The piece looks to be complete, except of course for the Glass Grenade missing.
The Grenades can still be found as I’ve seen some listed on Ebay.
