1975 Mattel Hush Lil Baby Doll

Here is a Hush Lil Baby Doll from 1975 made by Mattel.  It is battery operated, but I can not get it to work.  The doll makes noises by me just moving the head and arms but will not respond to a battery.  The pacifier is included but the ring is broken off and long lost by now.  Please see the pictures for condition and detail.  Doll comes from a smoke free home. I doubt the clothes are original but that is what was on the doll, so they will be on the doll.  This doll comes form my 80 year old deceased mother's collection.
