    Description

    My name is Kate:
I am helping my dad sell his huge, 45+ year personal collection of original and NOS, C1, C2, and C3 Corvette parts. He has a 20 year Ebay history of 100% positive feedback for buying and selling and we intend to maintain that rating. We are trying our best to accurately describe the item. If our description leaves you with questions, please ask for further information/clarification before bidding/buying. The item shown in the photos is the item you will receive. If for any reason you are not satisfied, please contact us immediately so we can resolve the issue.
    Item Description:
We are offering an original 1961 or 1962 Corvette
engine vent tube. This part still has the old original GM part number sticker on it meaning that it was sold over the counter.  Whether it was ever installed is hard to say.  What appears to be the remains of the factory paint is in terrible condition and we don't know why?  This part came from a no longer existing Corvette repair shop and our friend and owner has passed away.  With a new coat of correct paint, this tube will certainly pass NCRS judging because it is the real deal.  As for what it fits, please make sure it is correct for your application.  One of the prominent Corvette restoration companies show a tube that looks like this one and they offer it for a "Late 1959 through 1962" Corvette.  We called to get a clarification but they just said it has been discontinued for over a year.  So you decide.  Other than the original paint, there is certainly zero damage.
Now, refer to one of the photos of a page from our old 1972 GM Corvette counter book where it shows the following: "Note 1 it may be necessary to cut 6 1/2 " from lower end to tube assembly."  Very odd that GM would furnish a part in 1972 that needed shortened but there it is.  This one has not been cut, we will let you do that if you so choose.
    Shipping:
We will securely box the item ourselves with no charge for the packaging materials or our time (no handling charges). We prefer to use the USPO or UPS but if you require other methods, we can most likely accommodate you. If our listing shows "free shipping" or a "fixed shipping charge", that is for shipping to the continental USA states. If that does not apply to you, then please contact us for the shipping charge. In all cases, you will never be charged more than the actual carrier shipping/insurance cost. And we will ship as timely as reasonable, knowing that we are not a full time, 8 to 5 business and we are not always home. In a few cases a signature may be required at destination point. Item can be picked up in Springfield, NE which is near Omaha.  We will pay the insurance based on sale price.
