Abe revolutionized the game of basketball by popularizing it throughout the country, and world, by adding comedy to a game performed by the most skilled performers in the world. The Globetrotters brought the game to the fans throughout the world beginning at a time when no one even knew the sport existed. For his work in basketball, Abe was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1971, the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 1979 and the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.
