  • Condition: Trumpet is in overall good condition: slides are smooth; all six caps thread off & on fine; 3 valves come in & out smooth; bracings are sound. There are a few dents & dings (see pics) which should be easy for a brass repairman to fix. Horn has fast, short throw pistons, fun to play...a nice easy blow with very cool, jazzy sound. The valves show plating wear. I apply a thicker Berp 3 valve oil & instrument plays fine. Original Case has wear but is in pretty solid condition; the latches work & leather handle is intact. Trumpet Mouthpiece shows some plating loss , has smooth rim & true shank. Cornet to Trumpet Adapter is in excellent condition. Besson Cornet Mouthpiece is in very good shape, minor wear, smooth rim, very slightly off round at bottom of shank.

    1931-1932 The Buescher Elkhart Indiana Model 2 True Tone Low Pitch B flat (short throw pistons / streamline wrap) Raw Brass Trumpet (serial no. 260515) with Original Case & what to me looks like a custom Conn style V cup Trumpet mouthpiece that works very well on this horn; plays easy & produces a cool smokey sound with good tone quality (only marking is 0 on the shank). Also comes with Original Buescher Cornet to Trumpet Adapter + Besson Model short shank Cornet Mouthpiece (1930s/1940s era) which fits properly into adapter.
