Here's a rare antique Diff Inhalant Free Sample drugstore counter display jar nearly 100 years old that came out of Watson's Drug Store in Greenville, Illinois.....The huge gallon size amber glass jar has its original paper label which reads THESE COTTON BALLS HAVE BEEN IMPREGNATED WITH DIFF INHALANT TO RELIEVE HEAD COLDS...TRY IT! ...FREE!....HELP YOURSELF!...MANUFACTURED BY MEYER BROTHERS DRUG COMPANY....jar is machine made....wide mouth threaded collar has original tin lid....amber....8"tall x 6"round....Sparkling attic mint condition with no chips or damage. A nice clean jar with no haze. This came out of the basement of Watson's Drugstore in Greenville, IL where it has sat since the 1920s or 1930s. I've never heard of Diff Inhalant, but Meyer Brothers Drug Co was located in St.Louis, MO. This is the only jar like it I've ever seen!...
